Team Gear Up with Confidence as ILT20 Season 2 is poised t commence on Friday, January 19, with an air of ecitement among the perticipating teams. Scheduled to run until February 18, the turnament will showcase six formadable teams: Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Gulf Giants, Dubai Capitals, endorced by the Emirates Cricket Board and holding List Astatus granted by the International Cricked council (ICC), promises an enthralling competition.
During the Captains Day event at Dubai International stadium, team captains and vice captains gathered for a throphy photoshoot and a subsequent press conference. The leaders expressed optimism about their teams’ in the upcoming season.
In a statement released by ILT20, Chris Lynn, the Australian batter and captain of defending champions Gulf Giants, reflected on the team’s achivements last year. Lynn emphasized the dynamic nature of T20 cricket, stating. “T20 is all about reinventing and adapting to the conditions. Last year we had some great batting wickets, and hopefully, we will repeat our performance.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore, captain of Sharjah warriors, conveyed confidence ih his team’s improve balance, boasting etrng all rounders and excellent batting options. Kohler-cadmore expressed the team’s eagerness for a winning start, stating, “Every team wants to have a winning start, and that it was we will look formward to tomorrow. Hopefully, we can statrt well and go towards the final.”
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders’ skipper, sunil Narine, acknoledged last year’s setbacks and expressed determination to repply to rectify them. Narine highlighted the team’s exciting squad and articulated the ultimate goal: “Our ultimate goal is to win this throphy. Though Ido enjoy playing in Abu Dhabi, the aim will be to adapt to all wickets and execute our plans.”
Colin munro, captain of Desert Vipers, noted the presence of star players like Shaheen Shah Afridi in his team. Munro expressed confindence, saying, “we have some superstars in pur team. We will try and adapt to the conditions here and produce a good show.”

Featuring over 100 International cricketers, including renowned names like David Warner, Shaheen Afridi, Sunil Narine, and Dwayne bravo, ILT20 Season 2 promises and impresive lineup of talent. The tournment will shocase 25 UAE players, adding local flair to the International competition.
Whith matches at Dubai International Stadium, Sharja Cricked Stadium, and Abu Dhabi, Zayed Cricket Stadium, ILT20 Season poised to deliver thrilling cricket action. The tournament will feature 15 mathes in Dubai, 11 in Abu Dhabi, and 8 in Sharjah, with night matches starting at :30 pm and weekwnd day matches kicking of 2:30 pm.
The opening macth on January 19 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium will witness defending champions Gulf taking on Sharjah warriors from 6:30 pm(UAE time:6:30). top umpires, including Simon taufel and Aleem dar, will officiate the matches, and a distingguished commentary team, featuring cricket legends such as Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, and Harbhajan singh, will enhance the viewing experience.(Hindutan Times)
